The Donnell House Board, Inc. is ever grateful to the many community members and visitors who, through selfless hard work, financial support and much, much more, have made the Donnell House what it is today—and with your continued support what it will be in the future. The greatest appreciation goes to the late Mrs. Faye Axford whose love for the Donnell House inspired those around her to give their time and monies to see that the house continues to prosper. Through Ms. Axford’s diligence the Donnell House restoration became a reality and stands as a historic legacy for generations to come to enjoy. Through the years Faye Axford’s name will be synonymous with the Donnell House name. We are grateful that Faye had a dream, we thank you for working so hard to make that dream come true and we thank you for your love of history that has been instrumental in preserving Athens’ history.
